6 weeks and 6 days

How far along: 6 weeks and 6 days

Total weight gain: Um, 2-3 lbs I think. Not 100% sure.

General disposition: Tired, achy lower abdomen, forgetfulness with leads to aggrivation, not  believe there is actually something growing in my tummy, indigestion, food aversions, using the bathroom like I drank a cooler full of water... this just goes on and on.

Sleep: Depends, some nights I'm out like a light for about 3 hours, then up to pee, and back asleep with no problems. Other nights I just toss and turn and need a nap to feel better.

Best moment this week: I went to the doctor tuesday where they confimred by a urines test we're pregnant - which led to me have a really small panic attack when no one was around. It's just weird!

Movement: Uh, no.

Labor Signs/Body Changes of Note: Boobies are tender, my stomach looks bloated.

What I miss : Not having to go to the bathroom all the time, and eating foods I'd normally eat, but now make me sick.

What I am looking forward to: Not sure yet... we'll see. *lol*

Does he/she have a set birthday: Right now the EDD from the doctor is Dec. 10th.

Does he/she have a name yet: We've got some picked out we like, but obviously won't narrow them down for many, many more weeks to come.
Are we ready: Psh, hell no.

I'm having a hard time  believe that there is really something going on in my body - I'm in denial. *lol* Even after the four tests we took, the one the doctor gave me, and then the blood test I'm going to take this week - I'll still probably won't believe it. It'll take me some time.

I'm scheduled to go to the doctor again next month on the 20th, and the doctor said hopefully we'll get to hear the heartbeat by then. (Maybe I"ll believe it then! *lol*)  Rich is going to go in to work an hour early, so he can get off an hour early and be there with me. I don't want him to miss out on the  big things like that, and he's excited.
My doctor visit tuesday was basically that, he told me he'd see me ina month, gave me paperwork to get blood drawn to confirm pregnancy and to test for spinal bifida, got some medical history, base line for blood pressure and sent me on my way.

Now that everyone knows we're pregnant, we feel better about it. It was so hard keeping it a secret from everyone!! Wow. I know we told early, but since family lives so far away we wanted them to get to enjoy it with us, no matter how early. It may  not make sense to some people, especially since there can always be complications/losses this early on, but I'd rather family know everything just so they can be along for the journey with us.

Now I'm off to go clean up some, yesterday I was down wiht a migraine that lead to an upset stomacch - but I had soe nasty food aversions too, so maybe some morning sickness mixed in there? Hopefully not - knock on wood!

Morning sickness is no fun. I had it really severe with both pregnancies--there are meds your ob doc can give you to help some, but none of them helped 100%...boo!

Get some rest, honey--and I am SO happy for you!! xoxo
